    The Custom Extracts ™ Story

    Custom Extracts ™ was founded in 2017 in Ballarat, Victoria by Max Crawford (yes that’s me in the photo).

    Max has degrees in process engineering and in commerce and has 20 years of manufacturing experience. 

    State-of-the-art extraction equipment was imported in late 2017. Extensive product development and testing was conducted throughout 2018 and 2019. Five products were commercialised in 2020 and a further five in the first half of 2021.

    This R&D effort helps Custom Extracts ™ make amazingly true to type flavours. The bitter orange leaves a tingle on you lips like you’ve just eaten a fresh orange. The lemon myrtle is lifted and fragrant. The juniper has a freshness that other extraction technologies just can’t match.

    We can also make great functional extracts that maintain the unique qualities of the raw material. Panax Ginseng, Schisandra berry and Echinacea extracts have been very well received.

    The next stage for Custom Extracts ™ is to continue to bring new products to market, to explore the possibilities of other advanced extraction technologies and to work with local farmers to grow as many of the raw materials as possible.
